Short bio
Physics has been my passion right from school education. I took this subject at graduation and post-graduation. After PG studies I chose college teaching as my career because I wanted to know the subject in detail and I think teaching is a continuous process of learning which takes one into the details of the subject. To have hands on experience, I set up a Physics lab of graduation level at Govt. M.G.M. P.G. College, Itarsi (M.P.). Teaching Engineering Physics was another dimension that I wanted to explore. So I took up teaching at MANIT, Bhopal and partly set the Physics lab there. During teaching at MANIT, Bhopal I got the opportunity of teaching M.Tech. (Nanotechnology). Here I got interested in nanocomposites specially polymer nanocomposites and their electrical properties because exhaustive literature review on this reflected tremendously enhanced properties. To add a new dimension to the prevalent scenario I started investigations on electrical properties of polymer nanocomposites. Primary results drove me to join Ph.D. at MANIT, Bhopal to study these properties of polymer nanocomposites in detail. I got remarkable publications during research work. Immediately after completing Ph.D. I took up teaching, Engineering Physics in engineering colleges once again as I couldn't stay away long from it. Nowadays, along with teaching Physics, I keep on investigating electrical and thermal properties of polymer nanocomposities and presently I am writing papers on the post Ph.D. new findings.

Research Interests
- •Fabrication of different natural fibre reinforced polymer composites, thermoset and thermoplastic polymer nanocomposites using different dispersion conditions of nanofillers.
- •Analysis of the effect of temperature on electrical conductivity of polymer nanocomposites above glass transition temperature using other high performance thermoplastic polymers (for example, PMMA, PEKK etc.)
- •Dissipation factor (tan δ) and AC Conductivity (σac) analysis.
- •Study of activation energy of high dielectric constant polymer nanocomposites with the variation of frequency.
- •Study of different procedures for the dispersion of nanofillers i.e. Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes and Carbon Blacks.
- •DSC analysis for studying the thermal properties of different types of reinforced polymer composites. Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometry (FTIR) analysis.
- •Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) techniques.
