ASHISH ACHARYA
Assistant Professor of Law • ICFAI Law School • The ICFAI University, Jaipur
Short bio
My research interests primarily focus on Human Rights Law, Jurisprudence and the evolving relationship between law, society, and social justice. My research particularly examines the role of the judiciary in protecting fundamental rights, judicial activism, constitutional interpretation, and the influence of domestic and foreign precedents on the Indian legal system. My broader research interests include the development of Indian legal thought, human rights protection, comparative jurisprudence, emerging labour legislation, and the interaction between law, governance, and social transformation. I am interested in interdisciplinary and doctrinal legal research that contributes to the understanding and development of rights-based, equitable, and socially responsive legal frameworks.
